Delegation to the Theatre Festival in Hamburg, Germany
The delegation included a variety of activities, including:
Professional Meetings and Workshops – A meeting and workshop with the Head of Dramaturgy at the Berliner Ensemble and members of the artistic team. The sessions provided insight into professional working processes and dramaturgical approaches, while fostering a dialogue on the relationship between the theatre’s physical space and artistic practice.
Experiential Learning and Practice – Experiential learning through attending a variety of theatre productions, accompanied by professional discussions on stage aesthetics, acting, and directing. These experiences provided opportunities to develop and apply artistic and critical thinking skills.
Exploring the Local Cultural Scene – Visits to major cultural institutions, including the Neue Nationalgalerie, Hamburger Bahnhof, and the Berghain art space, alongside exposure to Berlin’s contemporary theatre and art scene. Participation in the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) offered an opportunity to explore the intersection between the global film industry and the city’s local social and cultural context.
