Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education of the Kibbutzim College of Education Technology and The Arts, promotes an academic and pedagogical discourse founded on the three main components of the educational act: teaching, learning and assessing – with a focus on each on its own, as well as on the interrelations and reciprocal influences between them. The faculty is committed to continuously renewing and refining the components of the educational process, ensuring they remain aligned with the needs of 21st-century education and grounded in the college’s humanistic vision and commitment to lifelong learning.. The faculty values human dignity and interpersonal and intercultural diversity, and emphasizes the principles of inclusive education as a foundation for creating learning environments that enable every learner to participate, grow, and succeed. In addition, the faculty promotes the ethical and informed use of AI in education, encouraging students and educators to engage with emerging technologies in ways that enhance learning while fostering critical, responsible, and reflective practices

The faculty also encourages innovative and relevant educational research as a central means of deepening knowledge and promoting meaningful educational change. It fosters a holistic process of personal development, both for learners in general and for the personal and professional identity of educators in particular, through productive and equitable engagement with the community, society, and culture.

Based on recognition of the importance of interpersonal relationships in determining the nature of the educational practice, the faculty focuses on fostering empathy as a way to nurture meaningful relationships that will become the basis for personal growth, mutual support and social harmony – in kindergartens, schools and society alike. In addition, the skills of reading and written expression are emphasized as a foundation for literacy and education, and as key to students’ academic success in the present and professional success as educators in the future.

The Faculty of Education offers:

• Undergraduate programs and teaching certificates (B.Ed.) in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, and Non-Formal Education with a certified Youth Education Worker credential.

• Graduate programs (M.Ed.) in Educational Technology, Educational Management and Organization, and Educational Assessment, as well as the M.Teach program – a Master’s degree in Teaching that integrates advanced academic studies with a teaching certification. The variety of programs offered by the faculty provides students with cutting-edge and challenging learning experiences from an educational and academic perspective, while at the same time, connecting them to the authentic needs of the education system and the community in order to develop into excellent and inspiring educators and educational professionals..

The faculty’s highly skilled lecturers provide theoretical and practical instruction of the highest quality, as they mentor the students’ learning processes and the development of their professional identity throughout their years of training.
