Five Art Schools. One Faculty. In the Heart of Tel Aviv.
The Faculty of Arts at Kibbutzim College brings together five major artistic disciplines under one roof: Theatre, Dance, Film, Design, and Visual Arts.
Our students study with artists, directors, choreographers, filmmakers, designers, and researchers who are active in the professional field today.
They create productions, films, performances, exhibitions, and collaborative projects as an integral part of their studies.
We don't prepare students for the field from a distance. We bring the field into the school.
Where Disciplines Meet
Having five art schools within one faculty creates something unusual: a place where different artistic practices can meet, challenge one another, and work together.
A filmmaker can encounter theatre and performance. A choreographer can work alongside visual artists. Designers collaborate with directors and performers.
Students develop expertise in their own discipline while being exposed to the languages, methods, and perspectives of other art forms.
For us, interdisciplinarity is not an abstract idea. It grows out of the way the faculty itself is built.
From Research to Artistic Practice
The Faculty is also home to the M.Ed. program in Visual Literacy, offering advanced study at the intersection of visual culture, research, and artistic practice.
Students can pursue research-oriented pathways leading to a thesis or final research project, alongside Arts-Based Research (ABR) tracks in Art and Theatre, where artistic practice itself becomes a mode of inquiry.
These advanced tracks are designed to move beyond the conventional boundaries between academic research and professional artistic practice.
Students develop original work with leading artists, researchers, and mentors, present their work publicly, and build projects that can continue beyond the degree and into the professional field.
In this sense, graduate study at the faculty is not only the next academic step. It can also become the next stage of an artist's professional practice.

As part of Israel's largest college of education, we believe that artistic practice and education have a meaningful relationship.
Our mission is to develop artists with a strong professional and artistic identity who can also teach, lead, initiate, and contribute to the cultural and educational environments in which they work.
We see artists not only as makers of work, but as people who can shape the fields and communities around them.
Art in the City
The faculty occupies four floors of Shalom Tower (Migdal Shalom), in the heart of Tel Aviv, overlooking Neve Tzedek and situated at the center of the city's cultural and creative life.
Our location is part of who we are. Students study art in the city where much of Israel's contemporary cultural life is created, presented, debated, and constantly reinvented.
The faculty includes professional studios, workshops, performance spaces, screening rooms, and facilities that support creation across all five schools.
From School to Field
Our ambition is simple: to create a faculty where studying art and making art are not two separate things.
Students come here to develop a voice, master their discipline, work with leading professionals, encounter other artistic languages, and begin building their place in the professional world while they are still studying.
