Head of Unit
The Unit for Customized Teacher Education and Academic Innovation at Kibbutzim College serves as a dynamic hub for developing forward-looking educational programs that respond to emerging needs in Israeli society and beyond. Designed to complement the college’s longstanding academic excellence, the unit focuses on creating non-standard, tailor-made learning experiences that expand what higher education can offer to educators, communities, and partner organizations.
With a strong commitment to innovation, flexibility, and field-based collaboration, the Unit works closely with municipalities, schools, NGOs, and international partners to co-design programs that meet real-world challenges. Our approach combines academic rigor with practical insight, allowing us to design programs for diverse audiences- from early-career educators to mid-career professionals seeking meaningful transitions into teaching.
The Unit leads several flagship initiatives, including academic retraining pathways for degree-holders entering the teaching profession and specialization tracks that broaden students’ professional horizons. Each program is built around personalized academic planning and extensive clinical practice, enabling participants to acquire deep pedagogical skills, contemporary educational tools, and the capacity to lead meaningful change in classrooms and communities.
Ultimately, the Unit for Customized Training and Academic Innovation plays a central role in shaping the future of education in Israel. By cultivating educators who are curious, socially engaged, and professionally agile, we aim not only to strengthen the teaching workforce but to contribute to a more resilient and equitable society.
